Two payments, more than two costs
The buying stage and the international shipping stage happen at different times. A product price may exclude domestic delivery, payment conversion and optional services. Later, the parcel quote depends on the route and the packed shipment.
Before paying, distinguish a current quoted charge from a rough estimate. A seller screenshot or someone else’s haul total is not a quote for your size, destination or parcel.

Use the rate you can actually pay at
A headline exchange rate and a checkout conversion rate are not necessarily the same. Compare the currency being charged, the conversion applied by the service and any card or payment-provider fees.
In the planner, a rate of 7.2 means 7.2 CNY per USD. It is an editable example, not today’s rate. If your quote is in another currency, convert it consistently before combining amounts.
Rounding each item early can change a total. Keep the original quoted amounts and compare the final payable amount before authorizing payment.
Choose an eligible route before comparing speed
Start with the destination and parcel contents. Batteries, liquids, oversized goods and other restricted items may limit the available routes. Confirm eligibility before purchasing an item that depends on a particular shipping method.
Compare what each current route quote includes: tracking, weight basis, parcel limits, compensation terms and any declaration requirements. An estimate is not a guaranteed arrival date.
Actual and volumetric weight can produce different billable amounts. Removing packaging may reduce volume but can also change protection. Decide based on the item, not a universal rule to remove every box.

Storage time matters when combining orders
If one item is delayed while others have reached the warehouse, review the current storage terms before waiting. Check when the relevant period begins and whether additional storage is available or chargeable.
Before requesting shipment, confirm the delivery address, selected items, packing choices and current total. Save the final parcel record so later tracking and support questions refer to the right shipment.
